This is a really unique group of 3 vintage chenille ballerina dancing angels with spun cotton painted faces - all three ballerinas are dancing on their toes and have little mercury glad beads for their hands. Their little skirts are posed in motion and they have decorated net angel wings. All are on wood bases that are painted gold and marked JAPAN in black on the underside. They are a bit over 4.5 inches tall and the widest is one of the white skirted dancers at 3 inches from one side of her flared skirt to the other. They are in very good clean condition with no damage. I did notice some discoloration on the edges of the blue skirted ballerina's skirt where it meets the chenille, as if the glue or material used may have discolored over the years, and one similar small spot on the back of one of the white skirted ballerinas. Overall, though, this is a nice vintage group, not the type of Christmas angels we are used to seeing from the 1950s era.
