This is a neat old advertising piece from the Victorian era and as you can see on the back, this was a free gift from a Hoffer's book and variety store in Mount Joy, PA. They also sold other items such as stationary, purses, perfumes and fancy goods. It is a miniature booklet measuring 4 inches by 2 & 1/8 inches that is intended to be used as a Vest Pocket Memorandum with blank pages in it and also has a story in it called The Story of the Brakesman at Church by Robt. J. Burdette that takes up 8 pages, but the rest are blank for memos and notes to be written. It is in very good, clean, unused condition with no writing and minor cover wear to the cardboard covers.
