This is a nice find for the collector of miniatures, or unusual bibles, or dollhouse miniatures. Dated 1834 as shown in the pictures, this is a red cover miniature Child's Bible with illustrations in black and white. It is even called The Child's Bible on the title page. It has 192 pages total and considering the age is in good condition, with an intact binding, although there is some cover wear and the binding has separated from the cover in the front and back, but is still attached at the spine, and there is a small crack where the spine attaches to the cover. It measures 2 by 2 & 1/8 inches and is about 5/8 of an inch thick. The pages do have a little wear and some light foxing, mainly in the front and back and there is some pencil writing inside the back cover, but its amazing that this little book is still around at all after all these years. The red cover shows the word Bible embossed on the front and back, but it is fainter on one side and the word appears to upside down for when you actually open the book, as do the words on the spine, so the cover was perhaps attached from the wrong direction. Overall, though, this is a great antique miniature.
