1960s Holt Howard Christmas Angel Candle Holders
This is a beautiful and whimsical old set of Holt Howard spaghetti Christmas angels that are candle holders and they have the snow flake shaped candle rings with them to decorate the candle with. One angel is holding red bells and one has her hands in a fur muff. They are almost 4 inches tall and about 3 inches deep from the front to the back of the present that holds the candle. The detail is lovely, as it always was on these little darlings. The snowflake candle rings are about 3/4 of an inch in diameter inside the ring and snowflakes are about 1.5 by 1.5 inches. I have seen these sets before, but they are harder to find with the candle rings, as those so often got lost or separated from the angels.
All 4 pieces are in very good condition with no damage, chips, cracks or repairs. I did see a tiny amount of crazing on the back of one near the hole for the candle and there is some candle wax inside and somewhat around the candle hole area that is shaped like a present, as I have not cleaned these in order to keep them as found and preserve the cold paint decoration, however the next owner may want to remove the wax from the outside. Otherwise, they are fine and and in their original box. They are marked as shown on the underside with 1960 Hold Howard and one has sticker residue and one has the Holt Howard sticker. One of the candle rings has a Japan sticker on it and the other has sticker residue. Great vintage Christmas decor!
