This is a lovely old children's book, published in 1909 by Lippincott and written by George MacDonald. 12 color litho illustrations and the numerous black and white ones throughout were done by Maria Kirk. It is a hardcover volume with 352 pages and tells the story of a boy who lived at the bas of the north wind. it is in good condition with tight pages and a strong binding. There is fading on the sting and some minor cover wear. There is a Christmas inscription inside with a little card and sticker, which comes with the book. Otherwise, the pages are clean and free of writing or marks, just slightly darkened with age. A great addition to a library or collection of children's books!
