This work dates back to the 70’s and is signed by Formicola. The back of the piece has a nice bio of the artist, John Formicola, written by Hobson Pittman (1916-1990) who was a painter and art teacher in Philadelphia, Pa. It is my guess that Formicola was a student of Pittman and this piece was shown in an art show. The art is in the original white frame. Overall the piece is in good condition with some water damage at the bottom left matting, the art itself is not damaged. Please examine the photos as they are part of the description. The frame measure 16 1/2 inches high and 13 1/4 inches wide. This is a nice work of art from the second half of the 20th century. Actually the frame has a nice shabby chic patina.
