This is a nice find for the railroad collector - this is a late Victorian era, circa 1880, 12 panel accordion-fold view book entitled Album of Pennsylvania R.R. Scenery. It contains the following views:
Chester Valley, Chiques Rock, Up the Juniata From Franklin Forge, Susquehanna Bridge 6 miles West of Harrisburg, Lewistown Narrows, In Jack's Narrows, Jack's Narrows from Mapleton, Spruce Creek Tunnel, Bedford Springs, Horse Shoe Curve Looking West, Across the Valley from Horse Shoe, Scene at Aligrippus, Mountain House Cresson PA, Near Bolivar on the Conemaugh and In the Pack Saddle on the Conemaugh. The last page states under the photo Published & Copyrighted, 1880, Wittemann Bros, 45 Murray Street, New York.
Overall condition is very good. The fold out accordion style pages are all intact and for the most part clean with only minor wear. I did not find any tears and there is only minor cover wear (mainly n the back) on this small grey hardcover volume that has black embossed lettering and designs. It measures 5 by 3 & 3/8 inches and would be a wonderful addition to your collection.
