This is a nice early wire basket that stands 5.5 inches high with the handles up and is 3 inches in diameter across the top opening. It was most likely originally used for gathering berries and washing them while still in the basket, or for protecting an egg or two. It is in very good condition and a nicely made old primitive folk art piece from Central Pennsylvania that is hard to find in this smaller size. It would look great with other primitives or in a vintage Easter display.
