Published in 1896 by Macmillan & Co and the Norwood Press of Norwood, Mass, this is the first American edition of Charles Dickens's Stories from the Christmas Numbers of Household Words and All the Year Round 1852-1867. It was edited, with intro and notes, by Charles Dickens the Younger and is a hardcover volume with green cloth wraps over boards and gold gilt lettering. It has 622 pages with some black and white illustrations throughout. It is in good condition with a strong binding and clean, tight pages that are free of writing, but do have some foxing, and an inscription inside the front cover. There is a some cover wear and corner bumping, but overall, condition is good. This is a nice find for the collector, and it displays nicely with its dark green cover and gold gilt lettering.
