This is a neat vintage book - title New England Grouse Shooting, it was written by William Harnden Foster and originally published in 1942. This is the renewal copyright edition published by the author's son in 1970 with Scribner's on New York, after his father passed away. It is an oversized hardcover volume with black and white illustrations. There are 193 numbered pages and it is in very good clean condition, with a strong binding and clean, tight pages. Cover wear is minor. There is a name and address of the previous owner written inside the front cover and 2 small areas of light blue staining at the top of the pages (visible only when book is closed) as if someone had ink on their hands when they touched it. William Harnden Foster was an accomplished sportsman naturalist, well known in the outdoor world, and as an illustrator. His talents shine throughout the book.
