This is a lovely older large hardcover children's book published in 1937 by Albert Whitman of Chicago. This is Hans Chistian of Elsinore, with illustrations in color by Hedvig Collin. There is a large pictorial onlay on the cover with the artist's name near little Hans' feet. There are also some fabulous color lithograph and black and white illustrations throughout the 80 numbered pages. There is a little cover wear and corner bumps, but the binding is strong and the pages are clean and tight, with the exception of the number 60 written in pen inside the front cover at the top of the endpaper illustrations. Its also a great story of a little boy's adventures and the customs and habits of Denmark in the 1930s. A great addition to your library or collection of children's books!
