This is a beautiful piece of older toleware - a tole painted oil can with tulips on one side and and orange on the other. It stands 5 & 1/8 inches tall and is about 8 inches form handle to spout. The handpainted tole work is quite lovely and done by a skilled hand. Condition is good for its age, with a few dings, and a few spots of loss to the back tole paint, and one area in the middle of the orange where the paint has some wear. Overall, though, this is a great old folk art piece and a nice use for an oil can, which weren't always the most attractive things.
