This is a unique cast metal, most likely cast iron, frame and picture. The photo was done by the Imperial Portrait Company. It is of Martin Luetshcer born in 1821 and died November 6, 1896. His wife is Felieite Hartman-Luetscher. Both the frame and picture are in good condition. On the back of the cast metal frame there are only 2 clasps that hold the picture in the frame, the third clasp is missing. Please look at our photos and see the lineage. The stand works fine. The frame stands 12 inches and is 9 inches wide and has a coppery gold wash. We placed a piece of cardboard on the back of the photo for shipping purposes. We do not believe the glass is original and probably has been replaced. This is truly a beautiful old frame
