This is a wonderful old Victorian childrens book entitled Our Boys in Ireland, patented November 22nd, 1887 by Worthington Co of NY (stated on the bottom of the front cover). It is a hardcover volume with 331 pages and a catalogue of Worthington's other books at the end. The author is Henry W. French and the date inside the book is 1891. The cover is heavily illustrated in color and there are numerous black and white illustrations throughout. A great addition to a library or collection of children's books or to be displayed for St Patricks Day!
Condition is acceptable, with the front cover separated from the binding and cover wear. The back cover is still attached to the binding. The binding is still intact, too, so this is an easy fix. The pages are clean with no writing, except the gift inscription in the front. I did find 3 pages with tears. Foxing is minimal. Its still a hard to find book, though, and amazing that its survived over 100 years.
