This is a nice Victorian children's book that dates to 1880, published by McLoughlin Bros of New York. it is titled The Swiss Family Robinson in Words of One Syllable and has fabulous color litho illustrations. It does not have a date inside.
Condition is good with clean, tight pages, but there is some cover and spine wear. The binding is still strong, though, although its separated a bit from the binding, and it has 112 pages total, the majority of which are clean and free of rips of tears. There is some writing in pencil in the book to note, but none of it is on the illustrations. There is a pencil mark inside the front cover and a child's name and date written inside on the 3rd page in pencil, 2 pages with pencil marks shown in the pictures and another page less pencil marks and another with a letter and number at the top - all are in pencil so could be erased. There is some light foxing mainly in the beginning and end, and the pages have yellowed a bit from age. A great addition to a library or collection of children's books!
