Available is a Humphrey Gas Iron Trivet. The trivet was manufactured by General Specialty Company. The trivet has not been cleaned and has an aged patina. If you look carefully in the design of the trivet you can find the letters HGI. A neat hidden design element. The trivet dates to the early 1900’s when women used gas irons to press clothes. The trivet was used to set the iron down flat without burning the dress, shirt or other garment. The trivet is 7 inches long and a little over 4 inches wide while standing 1 1/2 inches tall. Trivets offer a great vintage touch to most decors.
