This is a scarce book and a first edition, published by the family of Capt J.J. Womack in 1961, Womack Printing Company, Tennessee. This is the Civil War Diary of Capt. JJ Womack, of Co. E, Sixteenth Regiment, Tennessee Volunteers. Womack was a Confederate soldier and his memoirs are preserved via this volume.
It is a softcover volume with 116 pages in good condition with clean, tight pages. There is minor cover wear, with 2 tiny tears at the top and bottom of the stapled spine. Overall, condition is nice, and this is a rare find for the collector and Civil War historian, as there was a small number of these originally printed.
