This is a fun vintage find for the cookbook collector - a circa 1920s hanging cookbook entitled The Calendar of Salads by Elizabeth O. Hiller published by PF Volland of NY. There is no publication date. It has a beautiful Art Deco illustration on the front cover and literally has a salad recipe for every day of the year.
The cover shows wear, as you can see in the photos, with edge chipping and some small tears. It retains its original red hanging cord, which has faded, and the pages are all present, but not numbered. The bottom corners of pages also show wear, but there is no writing or foxing on the pages. This is still a neat cookbook, particularly for the plethora of salad recipes.
