This is a wonderful find for the collector of the harder to find Halloween postcards from the Golden Age of Illustration - the complete series of 4 embossed postcards illustrated by Mary Russell, featuring the kids she was so famous for drawing, black kitty cats and jackolanterns, each with a scary shadow in them. I call them the Shadow series and the price is for all 4. They are circa 1915, per the previous owner, who was a serious collector, and he pencilled that on the backs, which are also Winsch backs, indicating they were published by John Winsch.

They were not used or mailed, so are in very good, clean condition with a few light smudges/spots on 2 of them. How nice to have all 4 - I decided to sell them together, to keep the collection intact. These cards will come in clear rigid sleeves, so you can display them safely, and will be shipped with insurance.

Please see the photos as they show the condition and detail well and use the "Click to Expand" on the bottom of the pictures to see them fully.

Thanks for visiting our shop and please come again.

All postcards ship via USPS First Class Package Service with delivery tracking. This means they are in a rigid mailer, packed securely for shipping.
