This is a wonderful antique Halloween postcard from Julius Bien, copyrighted 1909 on the bottom right front, that reads What the Pig Tho't of the Ghost. Its got all things Halloween and a lot of humor, including one angry farmer, who has just located his pig eating the remnants of the jackolantern head that was on the ghost style scarecrow, while a witch sits on the moon in the sky above. On the back, you can see that its Series 980.
Its in very good, clean condition, with minor wear. It was not mailed and has vibrant color and detail. It has heavy embossing, and is a fabulous example of early illustrations from the early 1900s.
Please see the photos as they show the condition and detail well and use the "Click to Expand" on the bottom of the pictures to see them fully.
