This wonderful and scarce embossed Halloween postcard was done by GD&D, or Gottschalk, Dreyfuss and Davis, who operated from 1904 to 1915, in London and Munich (marked on back left side). In 1915, Davis left the group and they became just Gottschalk and Dreyfuss, so we are able to date this card to no later than 1915, and its series 5074. In addition, it has a Winsch back, as they are called, so perhaps we are seeing the work of one of the John Winsch illustrators here.

It features a large Jack O Lantern with a black cat on top, being pulled by children. It was never used or mailed, so is in very good, clean condition with minor wear and vibrant color and detail. It will come in a rigid clear sleeve so you can display it. Great subject matter on this one!

Please see the photos as they show the condition and detail well and use the "Click to Expand" on the bottom of the pictures to see them fully.

Thanks for visiting our shop and please come again.
