Here's a hard-to-find large gold locket orb that opens to six inserts for photos.

Made in about 1930, the charming pendant has a lovely linear cut-out design on the top and bottom. The gold is a lovely soft rose colour, which 9K gold is known for. The inserts are both yellow and light rose gold, each one designed with a star and circle motif.

The hinged locket opens with a curved gold bar clasp located at the top side. To undo, simply push softly on the bottom of the bar.
Orb measures 7/8" long (from the top of the jump ring) by just over 3/4" across. Weight: 14.46 grams.

I would recommend adding a larger jump ring to the one currently attached so the locket can be worn with a wide chain.

Excellent condition with normal signs of (near antique) wear. No gold marks but the metal tests as 9K.
