Here's a magnificent pearl diamond antique bracelet from pre-revolutionary Russia.
Forged from warm 14K rose gold, the elegant bracelet is made up of two rows of gold that converge at the front in a wave-like design.
Six stunning old European diamonds and a single round cultured white pearl are set at the centre.
The diamonds have that "chunky" look with terrific fire. Clarity is excellent, very bright and sparkly! The claw-set gems are mostly SI1, G-I stones, and total about 0.85 carats. Pearl is a 5-mm round cultured pearl with beautiful lustre. The white to slightly off-white pearl has good, thick nacre with very few blemishes.
Bracelet has a hinged construction and opens at the side with a slide-in clasp. A safety chain that you can remove from one side allows the bracelet to glide over the base of the hand with ease.
Measures 5/6" wide at the front and tapers to 4 mm at the back. Oval shaped, the bracelet fits up to a 6&3/4" wrist.
WEIGHT: 15.3 grams.
Excellent condition. I don't see any damage, just the slightest signs of wear. No problems with pearl or diamonds. The rare piece is stamped with the 56 zolotnik gold Imperial mark, indicating a fineness of 14K. The mark dates the bracelet to pre-revolutionary Russia (likely 1880-1908).
There is also a town and possibly a manufacturer's/maker mark, but they are too worn to make out.
A truly fabulous antique!
