This delightful wide gold band is embellished with colourful gemstones, each one set inside a tiny star.
The 12 stars contain an assortment of emeralds, rubies, diamonds, and blue sapphires (4 of each). These sparkly heavenly bodies create a beautiful look!
If you like wide bands, this one is 11 mm tall and it weighs a heavy 13.4 grams. If you are a size 5.5-6 you're in luck, because this ring cannot be re-sized without difficulty.
The inscription "T. McG., to M.D., Apr. 30, '07" is engraved inside the band. I am assuming the "'07" is for 1907, but it could be later.
The ring is in excellent condition, with some surface scratching and the odd nick to the stones. Band is stamped "18" inside a lozenge to the right of a star, but it is not the Italian Assay Office star. Also includes maker's mark, "S.J.L."
A beautiful ring!
