This is an exquisite piece of bespoke jewelry!
Heavy at 17.4 grams, the breathtaking pendant features a gorgeous deep violet 1.00 ct. natural tanzanite, sparkling diamonds, and a fabulous hand-carved citrine stone. It looks like a dream on!
Starting at the top, what you see is a large Florentine finished bail that houses five round brilliant-cut diamonds along the bottom. The stones are white and bright SI clarity, colourless stones, totalling approx. 0.20 cts. The round-cut tanzanite has absolutely stunning colour! Set in a chunky, 18K white gold open mount, it has been professionally graded as a VS clarity stone. The tanzanite measures about 6.1 mm across. Just below the violet-blue gem is another round-cut 0.15 ct. diamond that has been bezel set in white gold. Last but not least, a fantastic teardrop-shaped natural citrine that has been very finely carved dangles at the bottom. The large stone is a really striking piece and measures 23 mm by 15 mm by 10.45 mm.
This top quality pendant did not come with a chain, and the one you see in the last photo is for modelling purposes only. It is in fabulous condition, with almost no wear at all. Dating to 1980-90, the piece measures 2&1/2" from the top of the bail. It was hand-made by Washington goldsmith, Michael Nutter, and bears the artist's stamp on the back along with "18K." It retailed for $5,600.
