This lovely vintage ring is set with a beautiful natural morganite stone.
It is a wonderful, understated gemstone with its pale peach to pink colour. The look is entirely soft and feminine. Dates to London, 1970.
The morganite (Beryl) is oval shaped and weighs approx. 1.50 carats. It is strikingly set with extended claws and a pretty pierced gallery. The metal is solid 9K yellow gold; the band is not thin and it splits at the shoulders. Ring is currently size 7&1/2, and it can be re-sized to fit. Weight: 2.4 grams.
The ring is in excellent condition. All it needs is a good professional cleaning. No damage; claws are in good shape. The inner band is stamped with the maker's initials, "CWS," and it contains full hallmarks from the London Assay Office, including the gold guarantee, leopard's face, "375" for 9K gold, and date letter "P" for 1970.
