Vintage 1970s brass neckwire or choker features a handmade pendant depicting a heartshaped, skeletal leaf, perhaps from a redbud or linden tree.

Neckwires as a costume jewelry option were hugely popular in the early through mid-70s, with their pendants ranging from chunky Zodiac and peace symbols and geometric elements to butterflies, coins and initials or first names.

The molten, roughly-finished quality to the pendant being offered here transforms its elegiac subject--a lacy, brittle autumn leaf--into an earthy statement piece.

Measuring 5.25” in diameter, 17” in circumference, and with a 2.5’ x 2.25” pendant, this neckwire is in excellent condition.
