Vintage 1960s Town & Country silver patent leather pilgrim-style pumps feature the squared toe and lower, thicker heel that came into vogue in the mid 60s. Accented with (attached) silvertone buckles that mimic cut steel, they have leather soles and suede heel grips.
The label stitched to the sockliner in the right shoe reads “Town & Country Shoes”, while the bottom of the same shoe is stamped “T & C’s Aurora” (the style name).
The left shoe is marked 9 AA/AAAA (ie it is a combination last, width AA at the ball of the foot and width AAAA at the heel), and the shoes measure 10” from toe to heel and 2 7/8” across the ball of the foot.
Very good condition, with a 1” dark mark on the side of the left toe, an abrasion to the sockliner of the left shoes, and a tiny scuff to the back of the left heel (photo # shows these issues).
