Vintage mid- to late 1950s cluster clip earrings from Hobé feature a ring of simulated pearls around an domed enamel center.
The crystals alternate clear faceted and aurora borealis finish bicone shapes, and the encircled dome is actually an openworked goldtone sphere, its little flowers accented with white enamel and studded with aurora borealis rhinestones.
The lacy, ornate texture of the earring centers is echoed in the goldtone filigree backs of the earrings, as well as the filigree caps used on the beads in the wired rings.
The clipback mechanisms have Hobé’s signature comfort cushion roller, and are signed “Hobé” with no copyright symbol.
Measuring a touch over 1” in diameter, these lovely earrings are in good condition, with slight “crazing” and discoloration to the enamel, visible through a loupe.
