Vintage early 1950s rayon satin white tie features an abstract print with three graduated wheel shapes in scarlet, taupe, and white on a maple leaf-jacquarded crimson ground.
Reflecting the vogue for panel designs in neckwear at the time, the “wheels” seem to float down the front and back blades of tie, each accented by four pinwheel-like flowers to match the ones scattered along the upper blade and neckband.
No labels of any kind. Tipped in white satin, the tie measures 51” long and 4.5” across the front blade.
Excellent condition, with a ¼” foxed spot to the tipping of the front blade (photo #5).
