Vintage 1950s circle skirt features a novelty quilted fabric, of black rayon faille backed in cotton jersey and stitched through in a floral pattern with gold lurex or a similar metallic thread.
The two layers of fabric have no batting between them, which means the skirt is substantial but not awkwardly stiff or thick, and will have plenty of swing and sway on the dance floor!
The skirt has a 1.5” wide waistband and 2” wide ribbon-finished hem. It closes with a side metal zipper and pretty embossed brass button.
No label; it was professionally sewn by a local seamstress.
Measurements are: Waist 25”, hips 40”, length 31” and sweep 134”.
Excellent condition, with the only issue colorfade to the jersey backing.
PLEASE NOTE: This is shown over a crinoline, not included in the sale.
