Dated 1996 on the label, this vintage silk necktie from designer Nicole Miller features a martini-themed novelty print, in hues of navy and slate blue accented with green and white. Miller’s bold signature prints were known for putting a whimsical, “conversational” spin on various masculine themes and motifs, and this example meets those expectations of bold design, while remaining eminently wearable.

The jazzy but tasteful design consists of diamond-shaped niches with cocktail shakers in them (some labelled “Martini” or “Miller’s Gin”), bordered in navy bands of alternating martini glasses and olives on toothpicks. The silk is subtly jacquarded with the designer’s signature.

Labelled “Nicole Miller” with a copyright date of 1996, the tie measures 58” long and 4” across the front blade.
