Vintage mid- to late 60s Delman pumps in honey suede are unworn deadstock and wonderfully on trend for this year. They feature chain detail, set into the wooden heels and twisting across the loafer-style tongues in horse-bit style snaffles.

The shoes are lined in cream leather and suede, with vachetta leather soles.

Sockliners are embossed “Delman, New York Paris Rome” in gold lettering. According to Jonathan Walford’s “The Seductive Shoe: Four Centuries of Fashion Footwear”, Herman Delman founded his shoe label in 1919 on Madison Ave, employed the designs of a young Roger Vivier in the late 1930s, and went on to open salons in Bergdorf Goodman and Saks 5th Ave in addition to selling his shoes through a pioneering licensing agreement with the British company Rayne.

Size stamped inside the shoes is a 7N; exact measurements are 10” from toe to heel inside the shoe and 3” across the tread (widest part of the bottom of the sole).

Excellent, unworn condition.
