Trio of vintage skinny ties dating from the late 50s into the early 60s features rich autumnal colors and fabrics.
Tie #1: Diagonally striped copper and black silk tie from Morville, the Philadelphia-based fine menswear chain; labels read “Morville” and “All Silk”. Measures 53” long by 2 1/3” across the front blade. Excellent condition.
Tie #2: Grey, taupe and pink acetate or silk/acetate shantung tie with steel-grey and taupe diagonal stripes criss-crossed on the front blade (by steel-and-taupe and light grey-and-pink) to create a handsome neutral plaid. No label; measurements are 53” long by 2.25” across the front blade. Very good condition, with a very faint watermark on the left edge of the front blade (photo #6).
Tie #3: Copper, black, and white square bottom tie in a silky rayon knit, jacquarded with tri-color bird’s eye diamonds on the blades and black-on-copper diamonds on the neckband; neckband is faced in black satin. No label. Measures 53” long and 1 7/8” across the front blade. Excellent condition.
