Deadstock vintage silver leather stiletto-heeled pumps from luxury Italian brand Sebastian date from the Fall 1990 collection and feature glitter-encrusted toes and upper edges. On the back and sides of the shoe, tongues of silver leather are appliqued "over" the blue, green, and red glitter, as though licking at it like flames. The collar of the shoe is piped in navy leather.
Lined in silver leather with a cream suede heel counter, the shoes have vachetta leather soles. A label sewn to the sockliner reads: "Sebastian Montenapoleone, Milano Bolzano", and the soles are stamped: "Vero Cuoio, Made in Italy, 40".
An Italian size 40 is the equivalent of a US size 9.5; the exact measurements of the shoes are 10" from toe to heel inside the shoes and 3 ¼' across the widest part of the sole. The heels are 3 ½ inches high.
Sebastian became established as a luxury brand on the prestigious via Montenapoleone in Milan in the 1970s and 1980s, and still maintains a flagship store there though it was acquired by the Mariella Burani Fashion Group in 1998. It currently has a global presence in 34 countries including Paris, London and Dubai.
These striking shoes are in very good to excellent, unworn condition, with a 1/8" scuff to the left heel. The soles were scored at some point to prevent slipping.
