BIOGRAPHY: Valeriy Shishkin is a contemporary Russian artist, born in the Lower Kama region of Tatarstan. He is a graduate of the Ural College of Applied Arts, and the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, in St Petersburg. Since 1997, Shishkin has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, and for many years took an active role working for the Art Fund of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
Valeriy Shishkin’s works are widely appreciated, and are held in private collections across Russia, as well as in countries such as: the USA, Germany, the UK, Japan, and others. He has exhibited broadly across his motherland: in St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Kazan, alongside a number of other Russian cities and abroad.
