Biography: John Wright (British b.1932) studied at the Glasgow School of Art, the University of Athens in Greece and at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, Michigan, USA. Prior to concentrating on painting, he lived in the Amazon capturing its diverse forms of native life through the medium of photography. His photographs have been published in: "Jungle Nomads of Ecuador" (Time Life Books) 1982, "Saint Among Savage" (Collins) 1980, "Archaeological Catalogue" (400 pieces) and the Banco Del Pacifico Museum, Guayaquil, Ecuador 1982. From the 1980's until 2004, Wright exhibited at La Galeria, Quito Ecuador, San Ignacio Gallery Santiago, Chile and Club Industrales de Jalaisco, Mexico among others.
