Philip Harlequin Palmer (England b.1963); "Circus"; acrylic on paper; signed bottom left; 41 x 30.5cm (16 x 12ins)
Although already much exhibited (see below) this artist has not previously pursued a commercial market for his work, until we persuaded him to do so (perhaps to our discredit). In our opinion he has a considerable and eclectic talent.
There is an intriguing, somewhat dark and slightly disturbing "edginess" to his more surreal works, with subtle relationships of shape and colour, conflicting demands on one's attention and a sense of impending and imminent change.
CONDITION: Excellent, no damage or defects.
FRAME: Hardwood, 51 x 30.5cm (20 x 16ins), glazed.
BIOGRAPHY: Although a very pleasant character, this artist is a little reclusive by nature and wishes only to provide biographical details that refer directly to his art.
