This 10 inch tall doll, circa 1931, was manufactured by Effanbee. The doll is all composition with a five piece composition body jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. Patsyette has painted facial features with side glancing eyes and molded and painted hair. The doll does have some typical crazing and loss of paint on the body but there is no repaint to the composition. There is a small chip on the index finger of the left hand. She is marked on her upper back, in raised lettering, “Effanbee//Patsyette//Doll.” The little girl from the Patsy family of dolls wears a vintage cotton dress with matching one piece romper and bonnet. She also wears old shoes but no socks. The costume is unmarked but may be original to the doll.
