This 18 inch tall doll, circa 1937-1946, was manufactured by the Alexander Doll Company of New York City. She has her original five piece composition lady type body. The head has sleep eyes, a closed mouth and her original brunette wig. There is some crazing of the composition but no repaint or repair. There is slight wear to the composition on the middle toes of her left foot. The eyes do show some clouding. Scarlett wears her original dress with the original cloth tag and original white cotton attached hoop petticoat accompanied by her original straw hat. The dress is in excellent unwashed condition with one small stain on the skirt. Scarlett wears replaced pantaloons, shoes, and socks. The doll is a lovely example of the famous heroine of “Gone with the Wind.”
