This early 20th century all bisque baby was created by the Gebruder Heubach firm in Germany. The little guy, often called an action baby, has painted facial features with the side glancing intaglio eyes. He has no marks but is, without a doubt, a Heubach creation. The little 5 inch tall guy is in excellent condition with no chips or repairs. He does have a firing line on his front leg that leads to a hairline. This is not due to damage but was obviously a result of stress during the original firing process. I have photographed this. I actually didn't even notice the line until I began taking close-up photos. I guess I couldn't take my eyes off of his pathetically endearing expression.
