Petite German China Frozen Charlotte with Blonde Hair and Gold Metallic Luster Shoes

This 4 inch tall doll, circa the second half of the 19th century, appears to have been manufactured in Germany but the maker is not identified. The doll has painted facial features, blonde painted hair, metallic gold painted luster shoes with white lined socks with pink painted ribbon around the calf and tied with a bow. The upper back of the doll is incised, “949/2.” The doll has no chips, cracks, or repairs. She has no joints so she is “frozen” in place. The arms are permanently bent at the elbows with the palms of the hands facing down. Her gold shoes and unusual hairstyle make her a more unique example of a Frozen Charlotte and she, of course, could be dressed but I prefer her just as she is.
