This playful all bisque Snow Baby, sitting atop a 2 inch long bisque sled, has a total figurine height of 2 ¾ inches and a 2 ½ inch width measuring the child’s outstretched arms. The Snow Baby, circa the early 20th century, was most likely manufactured in Germany , circa the early 20th century. The all bisque figurine is covered with ground porcelain slip to resemble snow. The hands are painted white and molded as mittens, the feet are covered in black painted boots, and the head is covered with a porcelain slip covered hood and an exposed face. The face has delicately painted facial features. The sled is painted light brown. I see no chips, cracks, or repairs as well as no markings. There is a small black dot on the side of the nose as can be seen in the pictures. This is jsust a dot and most washed away when I cleaned the face. To be honest, I did not even see this mark until I looked at the enlarged photos. What a precious little treasure!
