This 6 inch tall doll, circa the early 20th century, was created by the German firm of Gebruder Heubach. She is all bisque and jointed at the shoulders and hips. The little girl has painted facial features and hair. She also has molded and painted white socks and light brown strap shoes. The doll wears what appears to be her original light peach color dotted Swiss cotton dress with a light peach organdy petticoat and lace trimmed panties. I do believe her clothing is original to the doll. The doll is incised on her lower back with the number 10560. She is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. I did add a small amount of glue to the bisque loop in her upper right leg as I could see a slight inherent crack there and did not want it to split from the stress of the elastic stringing. What a cute and appealing little character child from the early 20th century.
