This 10 ½ inch tall pair of German bisque figurines, circa the late 1800s, is a particularly lovely duo. The matched pair wears white and blue costumes with metallic gold and flower decorations. The faces are quite well modeled and artistically painted. They are marked with the number 27 in blue on the inside of each base. The little girl holds a paper while the boy holds a mallet. There are not chips, cracks, or repairs on either figurine. These two have character type faces that remind me of the Gebruder Heubach dolls. I love to display figurines with my dolls to add interest and variety to my collection.
