This 15 inch tall doll, circa the 1920s-30s, was created by Norah Wellings and manufactured by her company Victoria Toy Works of Wellington, Shropshire, England. The doll has a molded head with felt covering with hand painted facial features and a blond wool yarn wig. Her body is cotton cloth covered and is jointed at the neck, shoulders, and hips. She wears her original cotton dress with matching panties. The dress is decorated with pink and blue felt berries and leaves. She wears her original socks and pink felt shoes. The doll has her original cloth tag sewn to her wrist. The tag reads, "Made in England by Norah Wellings." The doll is in good sturdy clean condition. She does have two small holes in her felt. They are both very small. One is located at the corner of her left eye and the other is at the left corner of her lips. I have included an enlarged photo of the face to show these areas. These child dolls by Norah Wellings are quite collectable and do not often appear for sale in original costumes.
