This 10 ½ inch tall doll, circa the early 20th century, has a bisque socket head and a five piece bent limb baby body. He has blue painted intaglio eyes and a closed mouth with dimples. He also has a solid dome head with molded hair. The body is in excellent original finish condition. I was not able to completely examine the body as the clothing is sewn onto the doll. The bisque head has no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are some lines in the bisque on the right side of the neck but they are not cracks or damage but just inherent in the bisque. Some of the cotton clothing may be original to this little boy. The back of the neck is incised with the sunburst mark and 76DEP81//Germany.This mold is relatively rare and the little guy has especially deep modeling.
