German 116A Happy Character Toddler by Kammer & Reinhardt
This 22 inch tall toddler, circa the early 1900s, was created by the German firm of Kammer & Reinhardt and the head was made by Simon & Halbig, She is a wonderful example of this happy little girl with deep modeling and wonderful dimples. She has brown glass sleep eyes and an open closed mouth with a molded tongue and two upper teeth. She retains her original pate and brunette human hair wig. The head has no chips, cracks, or repairs. It is incised on the back of the neck "K*R//Simon & Halbig//116/A."The composition ball jointed composition toddler body is in excellent condition with original finish. There is one small chip to the finish of the composition at the front of the neck. The white antique dress and underclothing is lovely for this doll. She also wears vintage shoes. Who wouldn't welcome such a happy and healthy little girl to a doll collection?
