This 20 inch doll, circa the first quarter of the 20th century, is created from cotton and silk fabric. The head and arms are made from an ivory silk and the torso and legs are cotton fabric. The facial features are embroidered and the hair is an auburn color yarn. I love the oversized hands on this little guy. The wrapped fabric on the legs is also a unique and interesting construction detail. The boy wears a cotton costume with a red polka dot cotton shirt attached to white cotton pants. The doll is in good sturdy clean condition. There is some wear and discoloration on the fingers and one hole at the big toe location of the left foot. This is another great example of the creativity of a seamstress of the past.
