This cotton cloth doll, circa the 1920s-1930s, is created from ecru cotton cloth and jointed at the shoulders and hips. The dapper young man has embroidered facial features and yarn hair. His ears are needle sculpted and separately applied to the head. The hands individually stitched thumbs and delineated fingers. The costume includes seersucker pants, black leather shoes, a white cotton shirt and a wool jacket. Completing the ensemble, the gentleman wears a black, white, and red tie and black velvet suspenders. I did not attempt to remove the clothing as it is sewn onto the doll. He is in good clean condition with some age discoloration. I love the detail and spiffy attire.
